Tom has been in the jewelry business since 1991 and with Jonathan’s Jewelers since 1999. A recipient of numerous design awards from the New England Jewelers Association, he is well known for his contemporary jewelry designs, as well as his unique ability to capture each customer’s vision by creating three-dimensional pencil drawings on the spot. Tom takes great pride in translating his sketches into beautiful and original finished jewelry that are truly custom-made, and fit perfectly with each customer’s personal tastes, budgets and lifestyles.
Tom’s interest in jewelry design began while taking high school art classes. In addition to gaining a fluent understanding of Victorian, Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Retro designs, he mastered wax model making skills via his work as a dental technician. Tom designed and created many wedding bands for friends, spent two years as an apprentice and three years as a full-time bench jeweler to further hone his craft. His on-the-job experience provided a unique opportunity to work with gold and platinum, and he shares Jonathan’s passion for superior design and quality work.
